Association Advisor – Mr Ung Bunthan.

Mr Ung Bunthan, has enjoyed a wide and varied working career involved in the humanitarian aid sector throughout Cambodia. He is widely respected by his peers, and has displayed an excellent service history in the delivery of humanitarian aid to a broad cross section of the Cambodian community.

He began his career in general health & oral care medical services, to assist many Cambodian people in the late 1980’s. There was an acute shortage of doctors and dentists at this time and he assisted and organized the setting up these much needed medical programmes. Bunthan was also instrumental in the formation of a micro finance non government organization in 1992. Later he became the assistant regional officer in the south & western provinces of Cambodia to monitor and evaluate various basic infrastructure development projects.

Since 2000, Bunthan has worked in a leading role supporting a human rights organization, assisting victims of human rights abuse, particularly vulnerable women and children. Bunthan has gained further experiences by travelling extensively to other countries, which has broaden his knowledge base to further assist in this human rights field. Currently he is delivering English teaching & lecturing programmes to multi level university students in Battambang and Siem Reap provinces.

The CSA team appreciate and respect the support offered by Bunthan in the initial setting up stages of the association and we all look forward to many years of working together.
